Metz Elementary School
Austin ISD’s 2017 Bond called for the construction of a single, modernized elementary school at the Metz, Sanchez or Zavala campus. As advised by a community planning team, AISD Trustees approved a $25 million investment in Sanchez Elementary School, funding modernization of the campus as one of 17 new or modernized campuses.
Metz Elementary School will undergo improvements and enhancements through Austin ISD’s 2017 Bond Program. Metz will receive notable technology upgrades including:
- Computer lab and network system improvements.
- Presentation systems.
- Instructional technology for teachers.
- Upgrades and replacements of security cameras and alarm systems.
Metz’ improvements will total approximately $297,000.
