As Austin ISD prepares for a unique school year, we hope you and your family are doing well and staying healthy. In this busy time, we wanted to provide an update on the Bear Creek Elementary School modernization project. As part of the 2017 Bond Program, construction began in January 2019. We are so excited to announce that the campus will be ready for students once in-person learning can safely resume. Check out the below photos to see recent progress. 

Located in Southwest Austin, Bear Creek Elementary is Austin Independent School District’s first new school from the 2017 Bond Program. With an emphasis on collaboration, creativity and flexibility, Bear Creek is organized into six learning neighborhoods in a three-story academic wing with ample group study spaces that support a variety of learning styles. The school features numerous outdoor learning areas and a central courtyard, which includes a small amphitheater, “super-stairs”, and a dry creek bed all designed for enhance outdoor learning opportunities.
