Welcome back to school, Stars! We are sharing the Fall 2021 edition of the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders 2018 Bond Program newsletter. The modernized Ann Richards campus opened for students in Spring 2021.

Why It Matters

The new building emphasizes the school’s mission to help students attend and graduate from college. The modernized environment includes flexible spaces, outdoor learning areas, maker spaces, and collaborative areas for project-based learning. The facility creates a college-like environment that supports community engagement. 

Happening Now

Since the campus opened, the original scool was demolished and construction continues on the second phase, which includes the track and field.

What’s Next

The grand opening has been postponed due to COVID-19 and the City of Austin’s Stage 5 risk-based guidelines. The district is monitoring the public health environment closely and will schedule the grand opening when it is safe to gather for large celebrations.
