Blazier Elementary School Intermediate Site – Virtual Grand Opening

On December 4, Austin ISD celebrated the grand opening of the Blazier Elementary School Intermediate Site as part of the 2017 Bond Program. Below is a full recording of the virtual grand opening ceremony, a tour of the new school and a student video.

Located in southeast Austin, Blazier Elementary School Intermediate Site is the first facility specifically designed to serve grades four, five and six in Austin ISD. As part of the 2017 Bond Program, this project provides immediate relief to overcapacity at the nearby elementary campus.

While we wish we were able to hold this event in person, due to health and safety reasons, the district opted for a virtual event to ensure the full school community was still able to celebrate the grand opening. The event was held virtually via Zoom webinar and featured remarks from Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, Board of Trustees President Geronimo Rodriguez and Blazier Intermediate Site Principal Leti Peña.

The program for the event can be found here.
