Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders – Filmed 6/29/21 – The new school opened to students in spring 2021. Since then, the original school has been demolished and construction work is ongoing on the second phase of the project, including the track and field. Underground mechanical, electrical and plumbing is being installed and the rain and bus lane extension are in progress.
Austin High School – Filmed 6/24/21- Multiple phases are ongoing. Summer delivery includes renovation of life skills, art rooms, gym areas, and the book room. The next delivery will include all spaces in the new addition. The drone footage shows the new addition, including the staircase with an enclosure of glass panels.
Bowie High School – Filmed 6/29/21 – Work is ongoing on the new athletics facilities. On the exterior, landscaping and sitework are in progress, metal wall panels are ongoing. On the interior, activities such as installation of gym wood flooring, painting, door hardware, tiles, and ceiling installation are in progress. Work on the fine arts facilities is primarily renovation work. However, it does include the addition of a new auditorium which has a unique roof design that stands out from every viewpoint.
Brentwood Elementary School – 6/24/21 – Underground utilities and structural steel erection on one of the new sections of the school were recently completed. There is ongoing work on the site including masonry work and electrical and plumbing installation.
Casis Elementary School – Filmed 6/24/21 – Ongoing work is taking place on the interior finishes, bus loop and the first phase of the exterior landscaping. Furniture is expected to be delivered and installed between mid and late July. Demolition and abatement of existing buildings and portables began in early June.
Eastside Early College High School located at the L.C. Anderson Campus – Filmed 6/24/21- Exterior site work is ongoing for fire lanes, bus loops, parking lots and the courtyard. Work on detention and back filtration ponds are underway. Landscaping is to begin shortly. Stucco and metal panels on the exterior envelope are being completed. Interior work is nearing completion and includes installing the elevator, painting, casework, acoustical ceilings and wall tile installation. The project is scheduled to open for students this fall.
Hill Elementary School – Filmed 6/25/21 – Interior work is ongoing, final paint and acoustic panels are being installed in the gym, work around the elevator is being finished and the project team has installed visual display boards. On the exterior, metal panels have been installed, site clearing and grading for the bus loop is taking place and the project team is working on steps to install the canopy.
Rosedale School – 6/24/21 – The new campus is scheduled to open for students in the Spring of 2022. Work in the public right-of-way is nearing completion as new sidewalks and driveway approaches are being constructed and utility tie-in work is almost finished. Ongoing exterior building construction activities include exterior masonry, exterior metal panel installation, waterproofing, roofing, and window installation. Ongoing interior activities include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation, fire sprinkler system and fire alarm installation, as well as sheetrock and door frame installation.
Sanchez Elementary – Filmed 6/24/21 – The new Sanchez Elementary campus is scheduled to open for students in August of 2021. Site concrete work and paving are ongoing to be followed by landscaping. Playground and exterior basketball court installation are nearing completion. Stucco and exterior storefront installation are wrapping up at the east and west entrances to the school. Interior finishes, kitchen equipment and gym equipment installation are ongoing.
