On October 11, Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders was featured by KXAN and KVUE in broadcast stories celebrating International Girls Day. Students gave reporters a special tour of the newly-modernized campus, which opened in January 2020.

Why it Matters 

The Ann Richards campus opened in 2007 as the only all-girls public high school in the state of Texas. Over the past 15 years, ARS has empowered young women from all over Austin to attend and graduate college.

These news stories highlighted the importance of women’s education, the achievements of the ARS Stars, and how modernized learning spaces support them in reaching their goals.
