Happy fall, Cougars! We are sharing the Fall 2021 edition of the Casis Elementary School 2017 Bond Program Newsletter. This update contains information on the modernized academic wing and ongoing construction work.
Why It Matters
The first phase of the Casis modernization, the academic wing, opened for students on August 17. These upgrades increase campus capacity and provide students with flexible, modern spaces and new outdoor learning opportunities.
Happening Now
Installation of artwork, landscaping and additional site work is ongoing at the modernized facility. All modernization work is on track for completion in Fall 2022.
What’s Next
We will host tours of the completed spaces in the coming months. These tours have been postponed due to rising COVID-19 cases and the City of Austin’s risk-based guidelines. A grand opening celebration will be held in Fall 2022 when all spaces are complete.
