Marshall Middle School
The new middle school will provide a facility to the Northeast Austin neighborhoods, with a planned capacity of 800 students. The new campus, Dr. General Garwood Marshall Middle School, will follow the AISD vision of creating 21st-century learning spaces for students, incorporating flexible spaces allowing for collaborative, interdisciplinary, and project-driven learning. The school is on track to open for the 2023-24 school year.
As we continue conversations about which students Marshall MS will serve and the programming it will offer, we are gathering input from the school communities in the area that will be affected by these decisions.
The district engaged around enrollment options and programming from a diversity of perspectives for the new middle school in February and March. View the full engagement report in English and Spanish.
