Austin ISD and Blazier Elementary School hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the New Blazier Relief School on June 4, celebrating the start of construction for the new facility that will serve grades 4 through 6.
The event featured remarks from Blazier Principal Leti Peña, Superintendent Paul Cruz and AISD Board of Trustees President Gerónimo Rodríguez. The ceremony also featured performances from the Akins High School Band and the Blazier Elementary School Choir. There was also a special appearance from Texas House Representative of District 51, Eddie Rodriguez, who shared his support for the modernization project.
